Local breweries, bars and wineries got the OK to reopen some outdoor operations Friday after Ventura County officials aligned coronavirus restrictions more closely with Governor Gavin Newsom’s rules.

Bars, breweries and wineries got the green light when Ventura County officials approved their reopening on Friday. Indoor establishments, dining, gyms and nail salons weren't so lucky.

Ventura County’s health officer, Dr. Bob Levin eased the rules that had shut down restaurants with no permit. If the breweries have food trucks they will not be allowed to operate. Gathering at food trucks is a coronavirus hotbed of infection.

Some employees were “excited to have the opportunity to work again.”
